Can a RBW Lil Rocker 5th Wheel Hitch Be Used in a B and W Gooseneck on a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD

Question:

I have a friend that has a RBW 15k Lil Rockr fifth wheel with a RBW Xtender slider frame. This was mounted on a Ford F250 short bed. I have a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD w/ ext cab and 8 bed. Installed in my bed is a BandW turnover gooseneck hitch. Is it possible to mount the RBW hitch over the BandW hitch? Or can the RBW hitch be adapted to fit the BandW? Or am I better off with the BandW Companion? The RBW is for free, though. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

We do have an option that should work great for you. The Curt X5 Fifth Wheel Adapter, # 16310, for B and W Square Shank Turnover Ball Hitches is designed to replace the ball in your BandW square shank turnover ball hitch and allow you to install a fifth-wheel hitch.

I am familiar with the RBW 15k Lil Rocker fifth-wheel hitch and know that it will install in the universal rail slots in the X5 adapter. I am not familiar with the RBW Xtender slider frame that you mentioned, but as long as it installs in the same slots as a non-sliding RBW Lil Rocker hitch, you will be able to use the X5 adapter.
