Can CIPA Magna Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors Safely Go Through Car Wash
Question:
do the mirrors fold forward or backwards when going through a car wash? I have not taken them through since purchasing.

I went out to the warehouse and messed with the CIPA Magna Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors # 80100 and while we haven't tested them in a car wash, they were fairly solid and seem to take some effort to move so you should be good to go. The only time they will really move is if something solid is making contact with them. If it is something like the cloth material making contact with them they should stay in place pretty well. I would fold them so that they are pointing towards the rear of your vehicle is you choose to fold them before going through the wash.
I reached out to my contact at CIPA who confirmed this and said just make sure you don't have them extended when you go through the car wash.
