Can Pop & Lock Power Lock Conversion Kit for A.R.E. Cap be Wired to Tailgate on 2019 Ford F-150

Question:

I will be using this with an A.R.E. CX classic truck cap. Can this be wired into the existing tailgate lock on my 2019 F-150?

We have reached out in the past to Pop & Lock about connecting the wiring from their kits, like part # PAL9772 you mentioned for your 2019 Ford F-150, to the wires at the back of the vehicle and each time they say to route the wiring as directed in the instructions. Reason being that they have only tested it this way and if you were to wire it differently it could affect your OEM wiring. They include enough wiring to reach your cab so that you bypass your OEM wiring.
