7-Way Trailer Connector For A 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500
Question:
Our family recently bought a Jayco Hummingbird that has a 7-Way connector included. Our 2019 Mercedez-Benz Sprinter 2500 doesn't have the vehicle side connector to match. What setup and required parts do you recommend?

The Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 is my recommendation because it provides you the flexibility of both 4 and 7-Way connectors should you want to use other trailers or accessories in the future.
You also need a brake controller for use with the electric brakes included in your Hummingbird. The Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 is a great plug and play solution that doesn't require additional wiring. The mobile app allows you to control the braking power and a manual override without having to install anything in your Sprinter.
To complete the package you will also need to purchase the Trailer Connector Adapter w/ Lamp-Out Sensor Bypass # 20142 as part of this solution. The bypass is designed for use with vehicles that have lamp-out sensors, like the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500. This adapter ensures that your trailer with LED lights does not trigger any warnings or hyperflashing when hooked up to your vehicle's 7-way, blade-style connector.
I've included video resources for additional information.
