Troubleshooting Lippert Stabilizer Jack Not Retracting

Question:

I am having trouble getting my stabilizer # 113407 to go down. There is movement but it must be locked up and the pin is broken off so I can’t use the manual crank. Any ideas

I do have ideas concerning your Lippert 113407 not being able to retract, and I recommend starting by checking your ground wiring to ensure it is bare metal without dirt or corrosion. A poor ground can lead to a drop in power which would be why the jack wouldn't move.

Start with the ground, although I do think a mechanical issue is likely with stripped threads or seizing of the inner rod. You cannot test this without being able to use the manual crank (if the manual crank didn't work that confirms a mechanical issue) but it is the most likely culprit. For that you would need a new jack, and the direct replacement is the Lippert Components High-Speed Power Stabilizer Jack # LC298707, which comes with a black switch, or # LC369774, which comes with a white switch.
