Is Thule Motion XT Cargo Box Compatible with Whispbar Roof Rack on 2017 Tesla Model S

I have the model s 2017 Tesla with the whispbar that Tesla sells. Interested in Thule motion mainly for the ease of install since I will be removing often First will it fit whispbar and I was curious if tailgate clearance is possible and amounts?

According to my research the Thule Motion XT # TH629706 will fit the Whispbar crossbars on your 2017 Tesla Model S.
For complete tailgate clearance you need 47-1/2" from your front crossbar to the line where the tailgate and your roof meets. This measurement is typically used for SUVs and vans though which have more of an abrupt stop where the hatch meets the roof so it might be a little different for your Model S.
