Brake Controller Installation for 2018 Chevrolet Traverse
Question:
Hello, I am looking for a brake controller harness for the above vehicle. This vehicle DOES have a tow package and appears to have a plug available for the plug and play. I cannot locate a harness and was wondering if you could help me. This is a pressing issue if you are able to respond tomorrow it would be greatly appreciated.

The procedure will depend on which Traverse model you have. 2018 Was a split model year for the Traverse, where they actually put out two models the Traverse and the Traverse Limited. The 2018 Traverse is the first model year of the new generation, while the 2018 Traverse Limited is the last model year of the old generation. The 2018 Traverse limited would be visually and mechanically identical to a 2017 model.
If you have the Limited model, you'd use the # 3026-P connector, and plug it in to the gray socket under the dash behind the emergency brake release as shown in the provided photo. If you have the Traverse, there are a bundle of bare wires that would connect directly to the brake controller. The wires should be located either under the dash below the headlight switch or behind the kick panel next to the drivers left foot. There will be a bundle of wires-one blue, one red/black or red/blue, a white/blue and a black wire. The blue wire on the vehicle connects to the blue wire on the controller. The black vehicle wire attaches to the white controller wire, the white/blue wire connects to the red wire on the controller and the red/black or red/blue wire connects to the black wire on the controller.
