Can Trailer Breakaway Pin be Easily Substituted If Broken On Trip
Question:
My brakeaway pin on my tow vehicle-was accidentally disconnected and I don’t have another one at hand. Can you use something else as a temporary substitute?

Breakaway plungers are pretty unique so you won't be able to easily substitute something to get you back on the road. I could tell you to cut the wire on the switch so that the brakes would release so that you could get home to order a new switch like with the part # HM20059, but since that's not safe I really can't recommend that as an ideal solution...
