Will a 30 AMP Electrical Plug Fit Through Back of Valterra Cable Hatch A10-2137VP

Will my 30 amp electrical plug fit thru the back receptacle or will i have to remove my plug from the cable and reattach?

I went out and tested one of our 30 Amp Plugs on the Valterra Electrical Cable Hatch # A10-2137VP and found that while the plug itself could probably be pushed through with a little muscle, the determining factor there was the plug's grip which did not allow the plug to pass through the back of the hatch.

Since I don't know what kind of 30 Amp plug you have or how big the grip is on it (if it has one), I can tell you that the back of the hatch measures 3-1/2 inches in diameter and that the flexible tabs can be bent almost all the way back with the exception of about 1/4 inch. So, if your plug (and grip) measures less than 3-1/4 inches, with enough push, it will fit through.

Your only other option is to go with something like # A10-2151VP which requires a much larger cutout (a 6-13/16 by 6-3/8 inches)
