Pop & Lock Power Tailgate Lock For 2017 Honda Ridgeline With OEM Manual Tailgate Lock
Question:
I have 2017 Ridgeline RTL w/ b/u camera and OEM manual tailgate lock installed. I want to confirm that this will work correctly and manual function is still available if power lock fails. Thanks.

Carl, since you have the factory OEM manual tailgate lock handle on the 2017 Honda Ridgeline you need Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Handle part # PL8675 because none of the power locking systems are compatible with the manual OEM handles without changing out the handle. The PL8675 will replace the OEM manual tailgate handle and give you the power lock function but also be unlock-able manually with a key if the power lock fails. You will not lose the backup camera if you have one because the new Pop and Lock handle is compatible with the backup camera as well. I have attached an installation video for your reference.
