Adapter for Rhino Rack Kayak Carrier to Install in Top Channel of GM Roof Rack 2018 Chevy Sonic

Question:

I have a 2019 Chevy Sonic with the factory GM glamp on roof rack as well as the Rhino folding Jrack for kayaks. The problem I have is that the bottom bracket that holds the Jrack tight to the roof rack is not flat as it was designed for the Euro bars causing the Jrack to roll on the roof rack. Will this kit allow me to mount the Jrack to the factory GM roof rack on my Sonic using the thick flat bar for the bottom to clamp down? or is there a better option that you guys have? The GM roof rack you have installed on your 2018 Chevy Sonic part number 95293140 does have channels on top of the bars that the adapter kit part # KC-FK8 you referenced is designed to fit. This will allow your Rhino Rack Kayak Carrier # S510 or # S511 to fit with out hitting the roof of your car like the wrap around clamps were.
