Higher Capacity Landing Gear Motor Than Lippert # LC142178

Question:

I currently have a M-9000-pk which I believe the replacement motor you have is a lc 142178. I was just wondering if they make a heavier duty motor replacement motor other then the direct replacement. The reason I’m asking this is because I was told by a dealer that they would install a heavy duty motor that comes with the gearbox. Also, do you recommend. Replacing the gearbox with the motor replacement? Thanks,

We have a higher capacity landing gear motor that fits your landing gear with the part # LG-196308 which has a 6,500 lb capacity instead of the 5k capacity of the motor you mentioned so this would be your best option.

A new gearbox isn't a terrible idea but so that you have all new components but in general one does not have to be replaced with the other. That said, we have the heavier duty aluminum gearbox part # LG-179015 which would work really well.
