Will the Bulldog Winch Hitch Mounted Winch Mounting Plate Work With a Smittybilt 17,500 Lb Winch

Question:

Is their enough room on plate for bolt holes at 6and7/8 and 4and1/2 ×10inch its for a trailer to pull trees onto trailor,bought a bigger winch so it wouldnt work as hard. My warn winch was 15yrs old and keeps cooking selinoid or stalling thanks

The Bulldog Winch Hitch Mounted Mounting Plate with Handles - 2" x 2" Hitch # BDW20011 can accommodate two different bolt patterns, 10" long x 4-1/2" wide and 6-1/2" long x 4-1/2" wide. These are the two most common winch mounting patterns. The Smittybilt 17,500 Lb Winch uses a 10" long x 4-1/2" wide bolt pattern so it would attach, but the Bulldog Winch Hitch Mounted Mounting plate # BDW20011 is only compatible with winches up to 12,5000 pounds. Since The Smittybilt is a 17.5k winch, they are not compatible.

I cannot recommend this for safety and liability reasons.
