What Portion of the Trunk Does the WeatherTech Cargo Mat Cover for a 2008 Mazda MX-5 Miata

Question:

Im interested in purchasing this item, but I have a question. The trunk has a well or indentation in the trunk floor, but the image of the mat on your site doesnt seem to show that. Is the mat flat - covering up the well - or does it mold to include the indentation? The indentation is somewhat large, so Id be losing some trunk space. Thanks in advance!

I spoke with my contact at WeatherTech and he informed me that the WeatherTech Cargo Liner # WT40435 that you referenced will only cover the lower indentation of your trunk area. It will not go above that area into the other parts of your trunk.
