Compatibility of Hollywood Racks Truck Bed Carrier with 9mm Skewer without Quick Release

Question:

Well I have a question about this item. The video i saw said that it has a 9mm quick release scewer,and this item is for bikes only with quick release front tire assemblies. Does that mean that bikes that dont have the quick release front tire assemblies are not 9mm forks, and wont work for this item? I mean quick release is basicly a lever or tool already attached to wheel axle.

The Hollywood Racks Truck Bed Bike Carrier # HRT970 that you referenced will work with any bike that has a 9mm front skewer. This size is pretty common but you will want to make sure on your particular bike since there are other sizes that are also used.

As long as the forks of the bike are slotted so that they can fit on to the axle of this carrier, the skewer of the carrier will work just fine. If the axle doesn't have a quick release mechanism, it just means you will need to use tools to remove and re-install the front wheel on your bike.
