Are Weight Distribution Systems Only Designed To Be Used With Trucks

Can this system be used on a 2016 dodge grand caravan pulling a 22foot travel trailer? Or is this just for trucks?

The Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution w/ 4-Point Sway Control part # EQ37121ET fits a 2" hitch so technically any vehicle that has 2" hitch can use the weight distribution system as long as the hitch is rated for the use of weight distribution. All of the Class III hitches that we carry for the Caravan can be used with weight distribution. Weight distribution systems are designed to distribute the weight of the trailer to help keep the trailer in line which helps with sway and bounce. to choose the correct weight distribution system you want the tongue weight of your trailer to fall into the middle of the range that the spring bars are rated for. For example: The Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution is rated for trailers with tongue weights between 800 lbs - 1,200 lbs.
With that being said you may want to check the owner's manual of your Dodge Caravan to see what the gross vehicle weight rating is because if you are exceeding the vehicle's GVWR you may experience sway and other issues with the vehicle.
