Best Fifth Wheel Trailer Tire Recommendation for Size 235/80R16

Question:

Thanks Jameson. What would you think if I wanted to go to a 235/85-16. I know it’s a bigger tire but I have plenty of room for it. Would u suggest to do that or stay with the same size tire. I have always been one to go bigger and have to much than not enough.

The best option we have for a replacement tire for your fifth wheel trailer is the Taskmaster Provider part # TTWTRTM2358016E which is the size you need of 235/80R16, has an 81 mph speed rating, more capacity than you'd need at 3,520 lbs per tire (your trailer weight max would require at least a 2,600 lb per tire capacity). This tire has a tread design for superior traction in wet and dry conditions.

I attached a review video for this for you to check out as well.

The bigger tire size is a great option. You gain a bit of weight capacity and since the diameter is larger you do gain some additional ride quality as well. The Kenda Karrierr we have in the larger size 235/85-16 you mentioned is part # AM10501 which has a weight capacity of 3,960 lbs at 80 psi. The diameter difference would be going from 30.9 inched to 31.6 inches. So the overall height would increase by .7 inch.
