Fifth Wheel Hitch and Rail Kit Recommendation for 2020 Chevy 2500HD Silverado Short Bed

I have a solution that fits your 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500HD short bed to allow you to install a fifth wheel hitch but the Curt rail kit that you referenced does not fit. In 2020 Chevy made some big changes to their trucks so the fits of rail kits had to be upgraded. Right now (October 2019) for a fifth wheel solution we have a really great option with the B and W Companion hitch rail kit part # BWGNRK1020-5W which allows you to then use the Companion slider hitch part # BWRVK3400-5W.

This route a few really great advantages over the style of rails that the Curt kit you mentioned has in that you get the fifth wheel hitch that many refer to as the "gold standard" of fifth wheel hitches since it's the best made and easiest to use and you also get the advantage of not having a big obnoxious rails in the bed of your truck when you aren't towing since this hitch installs into a gooseneck ball shank. The rail kit also doubles as a gooseneck hitch too.

For more perspective on this option I would have recommended this setup over any other option that would have been available. So even if we had a standard rail kit available for your truck like the Curt I would have recommended this setup.
