Best Solution for Trailer Sway Control and Tow Vehicle with Air Bags
Question:
Looking for something to help control trailer sway. I have a 2018 ram crew cab long bed with the factory air ride. I dont really need help with the load leveling so Im not sure if these would be worth it. Would the softer sumospring be a better option? Or is there something you suggest differently all together? I was looking at a anti sway bar but I do a lot of off road camping so I think the sumospring will be more helpful getting down the rough dirt roads.

While the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-312-54 are a great suspension enhancement option for your 2018 Ram 2500, they really aren't going to help you out here, especially since your truck already has air bags.
The best solution for you is to first of all make sure your trailer is level by making sure your ball mount is the correct height (see attached article). Once you've verified that, the next thing to look at is a weight distribution system. These help to keep your trailer level as well as use integrated sway control to keep your trailer inline with your truck. I know you said you don't need help with load leveling but a weight distribution kit is just as much about control as it is about keeping your rig level.
Something like the Blue Ox TrackPro # BLU67FR is a great option for your application because it has built-in sway control and is compatible with an air ride kit after the rig has been leveled with the air bags. This works with trailer tongue weights in the 600 lbs - 800 lbs range so if that's you then this is a great solution. If you have a different tongue weight then you can either reach back out to us or reference our linked selection of weight distribution systems for something that works better for your application.
