Trunk Mounted Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2010 Ford Escape
Question:
I have a 2010 Ford Escape without a trailer hitch. The rear has a rear window that opens and a hatch that lifts up. I am looking for an easy, safe bike rack to haul 2 bikes. Is this one that will work? Thanks in advance for your expert advice.

Thule does list the Passage 2, # TH9010XT, as a fit for your 2010 Ford Escape. There are actually several options you could use and I have included a link to them for you. The easiest to install and remove is the Thule OutWay, # TH45JV. This rack uses2 rubber coated straps rather than straps to attach to the vehicle which makes installation fast and easy.
If you will be carrying women's, children's, or alternative frame bikes, I recommend using the bike adapter bar # TH982XT, to carry the bikes more level. I have included a link to a video that shows how the adapter works.
