If your 2012 Chevy Silverado is equipped with the factory 7-Way connector at the rear there isn't an actual OEM port behind the dash for a brake controller plug-and-play install, however all the needed wiring is present.
This means you can simply hardwire the Dexter Predator DX2 Brake Controller # 58-8 directly to the factory wire bundle behind the dash of your truck. Based on my research these blunt cut wires are behind the steering column. You will make the following connections using some butt connectors like # DW05714:
Blue wire from brake controller to dark blue wire on truck
Red wire on brake controller to light blue/white wire on truck
Black wire on brake controller to red/black wire on truck
White wire on brake controller to white wire on truck
