I recommend going with the Hopkins # HM47294 which is a proportional brake controller with 5 adjustable power levels to handle even the heaviest tow loads. This controller works on trailers with up to 4 axles, so you'll be able to use it on most other trailers that you may need to tow in the future. The easy to read display shows how much power is being supplied to the brakes and the controller can mount easily under your dash, so it's out of the way yet still easy to access the manual override. In order to use this controller on your 2008 Dodge 2500 you will also need the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Brake Wiring # HM47755 to connect the controller to the factory port under your dash so you won't need to mess with hard wiring.
