Recommended Base Plate Kit to Connect 2009 Jeep Wrangler X to Roadmaster Falcon Tow Bar
Question:
Can someone advise what are the base plate options for towing a 2009 Jeep Wrangler X, that would work with a Roadmaster Falcon tow hitch. I have been searching your site and Not sure which base plate is the right one. Thank you for your time!

If your 2009 Jeep Wrangler X is equipped with the standard factory bumper (without any winches or guards mounted) I highly recommend the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # 1429-3. This custom kit will work perfectly on your Jeep and is directly compatible with your Roadmaster Tow Bar without having to use a crossbar. The hidden bracket design also maintains a sleek appearance when you aren't towing.
I have attached the written installation instructions that you can look through as well.
In order to flat tow your Jeep you will also need a lighting solution and supplemental braking system. If you don't have these already I really like the Hopkins Custom Wiring Kit # HM56200 for your Jeep Wrangler that will plug right into terminals behind the rear tail lights. It will give you a 4-Way connector at the front of the vehicle to connect to the RV so its lights are powered in correspondence to it.
For a supplemental braking system I recommend the Brake Buddy Classic 3 # HM39494, which is an excellent portable unit that will physically press down on the brake pedal inside the Jeep as soon as you brake inside the RV. Its portable design lets you easily remove it from the vehicle or transfer it to another one if needed.
I have attached a couple video demonstrations that you can check out as well.
