Can the Rear Hatch be Opened With SportRack Vista XL Installed on a 2011 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
I read that my 2011 Outback rack crossbars will accomodate this model. My question is - will my hatch fully open when the carrier is installed?

The SportRack Vista XL, # SR7018, should fit the factory crossbars on a 2011 Subaru Outback Wagon. The great thing about this box is that it is only 63 inches long. This means you should be able to open the rear hatch most of the way if not all of the way. You can also adjust the mounting hardware in the box to move the box forward giving you even more clearance. I have included a link to a review video for you.
