Trailer Wiring For 2010 Nissan Xterra For Trailer Brake Controller

Since you already have the relays installed to activate that tow package on the 2010 Nissan Xterra, you can use Replacement Wiring Harness for Tow Ready Nissan Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118267 which is the 7-way wiring without the relays. You would need to remove the 4 pin wiring and replace it with this 7-pin wiring. I have attached an installation video for your reference.
If you did not have the relays installed, you would need part # 118266 to obtain a 7-way wiring harness.
You will also need a brake controller to tow the trailer with electric brakes. The easiest way to install a brake controller is to use the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller - Wireless part # C51180 that plugs in line with the 7-way plug. The brake settings can be controlled via your smart phone. Once you have the 7-way plug installed the Curt Echo will not require any wiring.
