How To Install a Husky 16K W 5th Wheel Hitch On a 2018 Ram 2500

Question:

Im installing a huskey 16K on a 2018 dodge ram 2500. Im not sure which rails I have they came off my other truck a 1997 f250. Will either one of these fit the mounts on the 2018 dodge? And how can I tell the difference between the 2 rails?

The Husky Silver Series 16K W 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # HT31326-31196 and Husky Silver Series 16K W 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # HT31326-32042 have different slider bases but they both fit the same rails. If your 2018 Ram 2500 has pucks then you will need to use the Reese 5th Wheel Rail Adapter part # RP30154 to install either but if it does not have pucks then you can use the Husky Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches part # HT32556-686 or the Husky Custom Mounting Bracket Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches part # HT32556 if you already have the above bed rails.
