Transmission Cooler For 2010 Chevrolet Suburban 2500

Question:

Hi I have a 2010 Suburban 2500 that will be towing close to GCWR of 16,000 truck + trailer. Concerned about crossing rockies and have heard others have upgraded their transmission coolers. Can you recommend a product that would be better then the factory heavy towing package transmission cooler on my rig now?

The tranmission coolers we carry are designed to supplement your factory transmission cooler not replace it so adding any transmission cooler in line with your factory one will help cool the transmission when going up and down hills in the Rockies.

I recommend Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets part # D13502 which is a plate-fin cooler so it is more efficient than the other tube-fin options. You will also need the radiator fitting part # D13035 to install it. The Derale transmission cooler measures 11" wide x 7-1/4" tall x 7/8" deep to you want to make sure you have the space to fit it. The optimum location for cooling is in front of the radiator.
