Should I Change From ST205/75-D14 to ST205/75-R14 Tires On a Trailer

Question:

I have a small 14’ single axle RV camper that the original tires on it are the Duro ST205/75D14 and need to replace them, however I am thinking that it would be better to have the R14 tires instead. This is a fairly old RV camper with original tires I think.

Correct, a 205/75-R14 trailer tire will be better in most areas than a 205/75-D14 trailer tire. The "R" stands for radial which is best for use on the highway and the "D" stands for bias which is best for use off-road. For a radial ply replacement, I recommend the Provider Radial Trailer Tire part # TR20514 which is a great middle of the road option that will allow you to travel at speeds up to 81 mph and it comes with a two-year warranty.
