According to Thule, their Gateway Pro 3 Bike Rack you mention, part # TH78VR is a fit for your 2011 Outback.
The Thule OutWay 3, part # TH56BV would also be a great choice for you. Instead of the 4-6 strap and buckle attachment system used by other racks, the OutWay uses only 2 retractable cables to attach to the vehicle. Installation and removal is unbelievably simple and takes only seconds.
When the rack is installed, do NOT use your rear window wiper.
For women's bikes or bikes with sharply angled top tubes or step-through frames, using a frame adapter like part # TH982XT is recommended. The adapter spans the distance between the seat post and the handle bar gooseneck, and provides a level attachment point to the bike rack so the bike is not carried at an angle.
