How To Tow a 5th Wheel Trailer with a 2019 Ram 3500 That Has RamBoxes

I just bought a 2019 Dodge Ram 3500 with Ram Boxes what is the best setup to tow a 5th wheel toy hauler? I would like the B and W type hitch

The RamBox feature on your 2019 Ram 3500 is going to limit your list of available options but this is still possible. In order to avoid any bedside clearance issues you will have no choice but to install a rotating pin box, the Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin part # RP34FR for example. This moves the pivot point back away from the vehicle to create turning clearance. In order to make sure we get you the correct rotating pin box I will need to know the model number of the pin box on the trailer. The above is for the most common, a Lippert 1621.

In order to use the above rotating pin box you will need to install a fixed 5th wheel hitch, install kit, and wedge. If you like B&W then I have a great option for you in the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVK3255 with the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches part # BWRVK2605. The 5th Airborne Custom Wedge for B&W Fifth Wheels part # SWW-06 is also needed. This is the only B&W option that will work with the Sidewinder.
