Will the GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier Work With a Rear Spare Tire On a Trailer
Question:
Specs show clearance between the center of hitch pin hole to close surface of carrier box at 14. Is this using the first or second hitch slot? Plan to use this on the back of my travel trailer which has a spare tire mounted on the rear bumper. Thanks!

In regards to the GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier part # H00604, the measurement of 14" between the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the box is taken from the hitch pin hole closest to the end of the stinger or the one that would allow the most amount of clearance.
If you don't have this much space you can move the spare tire underneath the trailer with the Lippert Underchassis Double Bin Storage Unit w/ Spare Tire Carrier part # LC125460.
