Replacement 7-Way Connector for 2003 Chevy Silverado

Question:

I have a 2003 Silverado 1500hd. Found out my trailer brakes on the trailer didnt work due to corroded wires and male contact points on the connector on the trailer to vehicle plug. Is there a certain wiring harness you would recommend. Id like to get new wires trailer hitch plug

We have new 7-ways you can install in your 2003 Chevy Silverado to replace the factory connector, and each of them are going to use the factory wiring, which will plug directly into the harness. I recommend the Pollak Replacement 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector Socket - Vehicle End # PK11893 because it is a direct factory replacement which will be simple to use and install. I do highly recommend using Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors # 11755 to help prevent corrosion in the future.
