Red Blinking Propane Light On Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector

Question:

Hi! I had a new Atwood COLP alarm installed in my 3 year old trailer, in was told by the RV mainatance shop that the alarm was bad. I had the new one put in 6 months ago and used the trailer with power on maybe a total of 5 days on and off throughout the summer. I also just installed some shelves in a cabinet that I stained. I turned the power on when I went to use it today a week later and the green power light is on but now the red light is flashing by the propane. What does this mean and what should I do. The alarm is brand new!? Thanks

The red blinking light on the Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector part # AT36681 under the propane heading means that the propane sensor is disabled or faulty. I recommend doing a hard reset of the unit but if that does not work then make sure you are getting at least 9 volts to the unit. If the light still blinks after the rest and ensuing it has proper power then it will need to be replaced.
