Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe

Question:

I am currently in a predicament on which carrier to but to transport my bike. The only vehicle I own is a 2011 chevy camaro and the idea of a bike rack on my trunk scares me for numerous reasons. How safe if a trunk mounted rack for this vehicle and is it even a possibility to prevent any damage to my car?

There are better options available for carrying bikes on your 2011 Camaro. Trunk mount bike racks have been around for a while and are a good, inexpensive option to carry bikes, but like you, many people are weary of using a trunk mount rack because the weight of the bike rack and the bikes is sitting on the trunk and bumper. Bike rack manufacturers test these bike racks and as long as the weight capacity of the bike rack is not exceeded and the bike rack is installed properly, you should not damage your trunk or bumper.
