Replacement Leaf Springs for 2011 Crossroads Cruiser with 5200lb Lippert Axles

Question:

I have a 2011 Crossroads Crusier 5th wheel trailer with 2 Lippert 5200 lb axles. Last year I installed a MORryde SRE400 with HD shackles and wet bolts. I ended up breaking a spring last June while on the road and had to have a mobile mechanic replace it. Since Im now home and have the time and tools I would like to replace all 4 springs. My Lippert axles are rated at 5200 lbs. Do you suggest the 4-Leaf Double-eye Springs for 5,000-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/4 Long or the 4-Leaf Double-eye Springs for 6,000-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/8 Long.

The best way to determine which leaf springs will work as a replacement is by measuring the old springs from the eye center to eye center. For your 5200-lb Lippert axle, most of your options are going to be fairly close in length.

Your axle has 2 potential replacement springs that are going to be fairly close in size, so you'll need to measure your old springs -they'll be a bit longer than they originally were since they'll flatten as they wear. You can use 4-Leaf Double Eye Spring for 6000-lb axles # e47SR which are 25-1/8" long.

If your old springs are longer than that, use 5 Leaf Double Eye Spring # e34SR which are 25-1/4" long and also rated for 6000-lb axles. Since the difference in length is negligible, you can also just go with whichever spring has the same amount of leafs on the spring as your current springs.
