How Far Can A E2 Weight Distribution Hitch Link Plate Be Moved Back
Question:
Hello, Im in the middle of installing my e2 hitch kit. Recommended placement of the link plates is between 27 and 24 inches. Because of the placement of my propane tanks, I can only place them at almost 29 inches. Is this ok? Or what issues will I have? Or, do I have to move my tanks?

I contacted Fastway on your behalf. If you could move the link plate placement up as close as 22-23" rather than trying to move them back past 27", that would be your better option. Placing them at 29" is a risk in their opinion on the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA94-00-0800 because sharp turns could jar loose the round bars posing a safety concern.
If that is not an option either, then moving your propane tank would be your next best course of action.
