For a 2008 Dodge Avenger is the Hidden Hitch the Brand Name or is it Hidden

Is this called hidden hitch because it is hidden, or that is the brand name?

You are correct Hidden Hitch is the brand name of the Class I hitch, part # 60288 (no longer available), for your 2008 Dodge Avenger. All of the hitches for the Avenger are going to be somewhat visible because access is needed to insert and pin the drawbar into the hitch.

I added a drawing that shows how the hitches are positioned on your Avenger, see link.

If I were selecting a hitch for the Avenger I would go with the Draw-Tite Class II hitch, # 36448, because it will not be any more visible on the vehicle and it has higher tongue weight and trailer weight capacities.
