Should I Replace Resonated Exhaust Tips With Non-Resonated Exhaust Tips On a 2017 Dodge Charger

Question:

Yes, let me explain my exhaust setup from beginning to end then ask my question. OK, from start to finish you have the cats, then mufflers, the resonators then lastly exhaust tips. Now, what Im attempting to do is remove the mufflers in the middle and add bottle style resonators as well as remove factor resonators and add these same bottle style in their place. My question lies in the exhaust tips. Should I remove my resonated tips and replace those with regular tips since there are already resonators at the back of my exhaust system?

I don't really have a bunch of technical data to back this up but I am also very familiar with the exhaust system on your 2017 Dodge Charger. That said, the resonated vs non-resonated exhaust tips won't really matter much if at all. If you like the looks of them then I would say just keep them but if not you can add a set of aftermarkets while you are changing out the mufflers and resonators to install bullet mufflers or otherwise known as glass-packs. I will say, the route you are taking is a pretty common one when opting to save cash and avoiding an expensive cat-back system.

I have attached for you a list of our bullet mufflers as well as exhaust tips. In order to choose the correct bullet mufflers you will need to pay attention to diameter as well as body length and match that to the muffler/resonator that you will be replacing. I have also attached a list of our exhaust tips which you will also need to pay attention to diameter in order to choose correctly. The exhaust diameter will vary by trim level.
