Do Electric Trailer Brakes Work in Reverse
Question:
I wonder if my electric trailer brakes work in reverse?i did a brake adjustment on all four wheels and when I turn the wheels forward they all lock up nicely when the controller is activated.but it is very different when I turn the wheels in reverse.not so much braking almost none.

Expert Reply:
Electric trailer brakes will work slightly in reverse but due to how the mechanism works they don't grab as hard in that direction. That's just the nature of the design. Sounds like yours are set up properly though. Good news is that you won't be travelling that quickly in reverse so the need for powerful trailer brakes in that direction isn't nearly as important as forward.
