What Frame Mount Trailer Hitch Will Fit a 2001 Dodge Ram With Ranch Hand Rear Bumper

I have a ranch hand on my 2001 Dodge Ram. Is there a reciever hitch I can mount on the frame and is long enough tongue to where it will clear my bumper?

The two best semi/custom fit options we have for a 2001 Dodge Ram Pickup are the Draw-Tite Max-E-Loader Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 41504 and the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 37133. In order to see if either of these will clear your Ranch Hand Rear Bumper you need to measure from the bottom of your frame to the bottom of the bumper in the center. The Draw-Tite Max-E-Loader requires at least 7-3/8" and the Draw-Tite Max-Frame requires at least 7-1/4".

If neither of the above will work then you will not be able to use a semi/custom fit hitch and will have no other choice but to use a universal hitch, the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 41990-16 is what I recommend as you will be able to position the brackets so that the receiver tube sits below the rear aftermarket bumper.
