Can Thule Roof Cargo Basket # TH859XT-8591XT Fit 2005 Subaru Outback Wagon and Hang Over Front

Hello Etrailer Team, Thule Roof Basket # TH859XT-8591XT will be compatible with my Subaru Outback 05. I have the cross bars and measured the hatch up to front and it seems to be sticking over the front windshield a bit. Will this be an issue for safety or wear and tear? Thanks for the help,

It's not a safety issue to have a cargo basket like the Thule Roof Basket # TH859XT-8591XT extend past the roof line. It might add a little more wind noise but that's already to be expected with a basket like this. Aside from that as long as your crossbars are between 20" - 57" this basket will fit and work well on the roof of your 2005 Subaru Outback Wagon.
