Recommended 2 Bike Rack for Carbon Fiber Framed Bikes

The bike rack manufacturers as well as the bike manufacturers themselves have told us that it's not a good idea to use a bike rack that has ANY contact with the frame of a carbon fiber bike. The stresses exerted on the bikes frame could damage it, and given the cost of a carbon-fiber framed bike that would be reeeeally bad.

Using a rack that holds the bike by the tires is what's recommended. I'd recommend the Kuat Transfer V2, part # KU74FR. This rack is somewhat heavier than the Helium, bit it is less expensive by a pretty good margin and is still pretty easy to use. The rack is compatible with both the 1-1/4 inch and the 2 inch hitch receivers. Kuat makes an outstanding product and in my experience, their customer support and the way they back their product is second to none.
