Recommended Bike Rack to Carry 1 Fat Tire e-Bike and 1 e-Bike on 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:

Im looking for a bike rack that holds 1 fat tire e bike and a regular size tire e bike, approx 130 lbs for both. These bikes will be hitched to a fifth wheel. Need a rack that hitches a foot or so out from the hitch. We have a drive way with a slope, may drag. We install hitch and and remove bikes on flat surface before backing in our drive way. The best bike rack we have available for your particular application is the Swagman E-Spec 2-Electric Bike Platform Rack # S94FR paired with the Fat Tire Adapter Kit # S64679.

This is an excellent carrier that is rated for use behind a 5th wheel trailer, can handle two bikes that weigh up to 70 pounds each, and features integrated locks to help protect your investments throughout your trip. The Fat Tire Adapter Kit will allow it to secure bikes that have up to 5 inch wide tires. Please just note that when using it on a trailer you will need to remove some hardware eliminating the folding feature (to provide a more stable setup).

When this bike rack is installed there is a distance of 10-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the carrier. It will add a total length of 27-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole.

There isn't a shorter carrier available that will be able to support your bikes on the trailer. Keep in mind too that the extra distance allows for greater clearance, which is typically needed as the hitch receivers tend to be tucked a bit more behind the rear bumper of trailers like yours.
