John Deere Trailer for Snowmobiles Replacement Wheel

Question:

This is a1990 John Deere snowmachine trailer. The existing wheels are 18.5x8.5-8. the rims have 5on 4-1/2, 1/2inch bolts, pilot diam is 2-13/16. Can i get a rim to fit the pilot dia. Or does that really matter that it is larger? i putting a lift on the trailer for the tire height difference. Thanks,

Expert Reply:

Since the wheel on the Loadstar ST175/80D13 Bias Trailer Tire with 13" Galvanized Wheel # AM31242 is a lug centric wheel, it won't matter that the pilot diameter of the wheel doesn't match with the hub since the lugs will center the wheel. This wheel has the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and 1/2" studs that will work with the hubs on your trailer.
