Availability of Longer Pin Box to Gain Tailgate Clearance with 5th Wheel Trailer Hooked Up
Question:
I am trying to be able to change pinbox so I can move the trailer back so I can open the tailgate while hooked up. Can I get a longer pinbox?

There may be some compatible replacement pin boxes for your trailer that are slightly longer than your current model but none would provide enough clearance to allow room for your tailgate to open. Any replacement model will be relatively similar in terms of overall size to the factory unit.
If you are needing to lower the tailgate in order to hook up the trailer you might be interested in a 5th wheel tailgate like # VGD-10-100, which is designed for certain model Ram trucks. If you can tell me what model truck you have I will be happy to make a specific recommendation.
This type of tailgate features a convenient cutout to allow room for the trailer so the factory unit doesn't have to be removed or lowered each time you tow.
You can also go with something like the Bully Tailgate Net # TR-03 that still helps to keep cargo in place but is easy to remove or reach over when you have the trailer hooked up. I have attached a short video demonstration that you can check out as well.
