Can Electric Accessories Be Plugged Into etrailer.com Generator Using Remote Start
Question:
Hi - I understand the remote start feature has a 15 second delay of electrical output. Does this mean I could have my RV plugged in when remote starting it? I know under normal circumstances, all items should be unplugged prior to starting the generator.

We reached out to our manufacturer for the etrailer 3,200-Watt Portable Inverter Generator # 333-0003 about the startup instructions that you referenced and they said that it is okay to leave accessories plugged in but you must have them turned off before starting the generator. So you can still use the remote start to provide electricity without going outside but you need to have everything turned off prior to starting it.
I am sure there will be people who leave the accessories plugged in and on and many may not ever experience issues but we still have to recommend that you have the accessories turned off so that they don't have electrical issues.
