Best Ways to Reduce Sway from Semi Trucks Passing with 2015 Thor Ace 29.2
Question:
We have a 2015 Thor Ace 29.2. It has the Roadmaster steering stabilizer on the front driver side axle and both front and back steering stabilizers. Passing trucks still continue to push the RV when passing by. Do you think a rear axle stabilizer would solve the problem? Any additional thoughts would be helpful. Also, I had watched an installation video that showed the Roadmaster steering stabilizer being installed on the front passenger side which is opposite of our coach. Is locating the Roadmaster on the front drivers side correct?

The biggest improvement you are going to make to the sway you are experiencing when passing semi trucks and overall handling is going to be with a rear sway bar. So Cathy for your 2015 Thor Ace 29.2 the correct kit is the part # RM-1139-146. Next biggest improvement you'll make is with a front bar part # RM-1139-148. For motorhomes these modifications make the best improvements over everything else.
You said you installed stabilizers on the front and rear of the motorhome which I'm fairly confident didn't mean sway bars.
I attached install videos for both of these for you to check out as well.
The steering stabilizer installs have a bit of variances between specific models of the motorhomes. Yours having to install on one side is not an issue.
