Brake Controller for 2019 Ford Edge With Factory Tow Package
Question:
I am considering purchasing a 2019 Ford Edge Trim: ST. It has a factory tow package but I would like to tow my 2000lb pop-up coleman 1998 Coleman Mesa. My pop-up has electric brakes and a 7 conductor harness. Does the Edge ST come with an integrated brake controller? It doesnt appear my salesman knows. What will I need to tow my 7 conductor pop-up with my 2019 Ford Edge ST? Thank you

While we do not have any knowledge about options that come with vehicles, any decent or even middling car salesman should be able to tell you within seconds what does or does not come with a vehicle such as the 2019 Ford Edge. I highly recommend contacting other Ford dealerships in your area who are able to give you the information you need.
For example, while I can't tell you about what comes with a 2019 Ford Edge ST (although it is unlikely to come with an integrated brake controller) because we do not sell Ford vehicles, I can tell you the brake controller that you can use with this vehicle with a factory tow package, which is the outstanding Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller # C51180.
This will plug directly into the 7-way on your '19 Edge and won't require any type of wiring whatsoever. And it will work even if you have a factory brake controller, which are greatly inferior to the aftermarket options like the Echo. The Echo is the easiest brake controller on the market to use because it just requires you download an app on your smartphone to set it up and you're done. No other type of wires or fuss is necessary - it is the definition of a plug and play brake controller.
I have added a link to a video review of the Curt Echo Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 for you to check out as well.
