Electric Trailer Jack With Dead Battery on Trailer
Question:
If my trailer Deep cycle battery is dead and when I hook up the trailer connection to my truck while the electric Jack work

No, your Phoenix Electric Trailer Jack with Remote # UF38-944055 is not able to operate while connected to your truck if the trailer battery is dead, since drawing power from the truck battery via the 7 way connector will most likely overload the jack and blow a fuse. The electric jack should only rely on the trailer battery to be operated.
In order to operate your electric trailer jack, you'll need to connect the trailer to the vehicle or connect the battery to an external charging source and let it recharge. Once it's charged, you'll be able to use the trailer jack again. If you do decide to charge it via your vehicle, turn the vehicle on and let it run while the trailer is connected to avoid a drain of your vehicle battery. The amount of time it will take to charge is going to vary; it could take anywhere from 1 minute to 20 minutes, but likely not too long in order to have enough power to use the jack.
Once your trailer battery is back charged, you will be able to operate the electric jack without issue.
