Can Bearings for a 1-1/16 Inch Spindle Replace Bearings for a 1 Inch Spindle Using Same Hub

Question:

I replaced the hub and bearings on a small boat Magic Tilt trailer with a wheel kit for a 1 1/16inch straight axle. The hub feels a little loose, even though the castle nut is snugged up. So, I am thinking that perhaps the axle is 1inch rather than 1 1/16. Is the ID of small hubs standard such that I could just get a new 1inch bearing set or is it likely that I would need also a hub designed for 1inch bearings rather than 1 1/16inch bearings?

Yes, the L44649 bearings for a 1-1/6" spindle will have the same outer diameter (1.980") as the L44643 bearings for a 1" spindle so you can obtain the Bearing Kit for 1" BT8 Spindle part # BK1-100 to reuse your hubs.
